Seersucker on Second Sunday

The second Sunday of each month, King Street in Charleston is blocked off so pedestrians can shop and enjoy live entertainment and food. Our vacation happened to fall on the second Sunday of April, and happened to be the warmest and most sunny day of the week!

Stopped in the Macaron Boutique for a snack!

Let's Have A Tee Party

I was recently sent this needlepoint cuff from York Design Company and am in love with it! It pictures a pink golf cart on a golf course with palm trees and is perfect for a day on the course this spring! The needlepoint is well done and lined with leather, resulting in a very high quality bracelet. Get the cuff I am wearing here!

Brunching in Lilly

After the Palm Sunday service at The Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist, we headed to Poogan's Porch for brunch. I had the chicken and waffles, which was amazing and they also had great made from scratch biscuits. It was recommended on The Juice Stand Blog and I would definitely recommend it if you are in the Charleston area!

Boone Hall Plantation

Spring Break is finally here! Our trip started off with a trip to the oldest working plantation in the United States, Boone Hall Plantation. The plantation had so much history in the house with the original antique furnishings and the famous avenue of oaks (my favorite)! You may recognize the avenue of oaks and the plantation house from the movie "The Notebook" and the setting for Blake Lively and Ryan Renolds' wedding! This was a great day trip if you are in Charleston!
